ECU Director of Athletics Jon Gilbert announced Sunday the official naming of Bill Clark Homes Field at Johnson Stadium, the home of Pirates Soccer and Lacrosse. A pregame ceremony was held at the Pirates soccer game against NC State.
The naming recognition honors a historic investment made by Bill Clark Homes – the largest investment in the 64-year history of the Pirate Club – as part of the Pirates Unite Campaign. The gift was made by Heath Clark and Lance Clark, co-owners of Bill Clark Homes.
“We are so appreciative of Heath, Lance, and everyone at Bill Clark Homes,” Gilbert said. “Their unwavering support and passion for the Pirates have been instrumental to the future of ECU Athletics and the Pirate Club. We’re proud to recognize their legacy in such a meaningful way.”
New signage featuring the Bill Clark Homes Field name was installed in both end zones, along the field, and additional signage will be placed at the main entrance to Johnson Stadium.
