After Week 9 of the CFL season, it’s pretty obvious which team is one of the hottest in the league.
ECU football alum DaShaun Amos and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats won their sixth straight game on Saturday, beating Edmonton, 28-24. Hamilton (6-2) lost its first two games of the season but has been rolling since.
Amos finished with three tackles as the team rallied, then held on for the win.
There were actually two Saturday games this week as the CFL has Sunday off. The other also involved a former ECU star. Tyler Snead led Montreal in receiving with seven catches for 89 yards but Saskatchewan, 34-6 almost shut out his team. At 7-1, Saskatchewan has the best record in the CFL.
Saskatchewan already has faced Hamilton, winning 28-23 in Week 2. That was Hamilton’s last loss. The two teams play again in Week 11.
