There was a scary moment Saturday night involving ECU baseball alum Zach Agnos.
He was pitching in relief for the Colorado Rockies against the Baltimore Orioles. He had already finished the sixth inning and was pitching the seventh when, after throwing a pitch, he motioned there was something wrong.
The Colorado training staff approached and Agnos went to them in what looked like on TV as him complaining about his arm. He walked off the field with a trainer looking at it.
Sunday morning, Colorado announced Agnos had been placed on the 15-day injured list with a right flexor strain.
“The Rockies have called up Jaden Hill and Angel Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque.
They have also placed RHP Zach Agnos on the 15-day IL with a right flexor strain and optioned LHP Ryan Rolison to Triple-A”
Baltimore beat Colorado, 18-0. Agnos gave up four runs on two hits with two walks.
