Navy was second with three first-place votes and 170 points followed closely by Memphis with two first-place votes and 166 total points.

The complete list is as follows, according to an X post by Phil Steele:

1 Tulane (9) 188

2 Navy (3) 170

3 Memphis (2) 166

4 UTSA 146

5. USF 133

9 FAU 77

10 Rice 73

ECU starts its season on Aug. 28 at NC State. Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren, who was also in Charlotte for the ACC media days this week, said in an interview he hoped his team “beat the s*** out of that team.”
