Dixon Williams is now a professional baseball player. He was definitely a pro with how he thanked ECU baseball fans on Friday.

Williams took to his Instagram page to thank fans for their support. He is now heading to the Atlanta Braves Rookie League team, where his pro baseball career will begin. Last week, he signed his draft contract with the Braves, worth $497,500.

“First I want to thank God for the opportunities he has blessed me with and the opportunity to wear the pirates uniform across my chest for the past 3 years I am grateful for the relationships and memories created I will never forget my time spent at ECU. Growing up in Greenville it meant the world to me to be able to represent a city that I am proud to be from. To the jungle and all the fans thank you for your support over the years and always having our back we always feed off of your energy. I am excited to start this new journey in my career but it will always be go pirates and I can’t wait to watch a team break down the door and get to Omaha.”
