by | Jul 17, 2025

East Carolina alum Josh Grosz is moving on up.

The Yankees’ prospect has moved into the top 30 as Jorbit Vivas graduates. Grosz, a 6-foot-4 righthander who is currently in High-A Hudson Valley, is currently No. 19 on the Yankees’ list.

There’s only two other ECU alumni on their respective teams’ top 30 list:

— Carson Whisenhunt, Sacramento River Cats, No. 2 (San Francisco Giants)

— Trey Yesavage, New Hampshire Fisher Cats, No. 2 (Toronto Blue Jays)

Grosz is 4-7 this season with a 4.13 ERA at Hudson Valley. He’s started 14 games and pitched 80.2 innings, giving up 61 hits, walking 32 and striking out 88. Batters are hitting .208 against him this season.
