Nine Pirates named to Athlon Sports Preseason All-AAC squads

East Carolina has announced that nine of its football players have been named to the Athlon Sports preseason All-American AAC teams.

Nine East Carolina football players have been named to preseason All-American Athletic Conference Teams according to an announcement by Athlon Sports. The Pirates had four offensive players and five defensive players garner 2025 preseason accolades by the publications.

ECU’s selections were WR Anthony Smith (first team), Dl J.D. Lampley (second team), OL Jimarion McCrimon (second team), DL Ryheem Craig (third team), DB Jordy Lowery (third team), DB Ja’Marley Riddle (third team), RB Parker Jenkins (fourth team) WR Yannick Smith (fourth team) and Dameon Wilson (fourth team).

The Pirates will open the 2025 season on Thursday, Aug. 27 when it travels to Raleigh, N.C. to take on NC State at Carter-Finely Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. (ET) and will be televised on the Atlantic Coast Conference Network (ACCN). New season ticket orders are on sale now with packages starting as low as $115 each. Purchases may be made via ECU’s Online Ticket Center or by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at (252) 737-4500.
