East Carolina football alum DaShaun Amos and his new team, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, picked up their first win of the season on Saturday as Week 4 of the CFL season wrapped up.
Amos, who joined the team as a free agent after playing for the Toronto Argonauts, had three tackles in a 35-17 win over previously unbeaten Montreal. Hamilton is now 1-2 on the season.
Tyler Snead, who is off to an amazing start this season, had six catches for 55 yards for Montreal in the loss. He now has 17 catches for 270 yards and a touchdown.
Here’s what the rest of the ECU players in the CFL did during Week 4.
- DaShaun Amos, DB, Hamilton Tiger-Cats: Had three tackles in 35-17 win over Montreal. It was Hamilton’s first win of the season.
- Stanley Bryant, OL, Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Started and helped team total 421 yards of offense in 36-23 win over Edmonton. Winnipeg is now 3-0, unbeaten in the CFL along with Saskatchewan.
- Justin Hardy, WR, Ottawa Red Blacks: Had four catches for 43 yards in 29-16 loss to Toronto.
- Tyler Snead, WR, Montreal Alouettes: Had six catches for 55 yards in 35-17 loss to Hamilton. Montreal dropped to 3-1.
- Jeremy Lewis, Edge, BC Lions: Missed second straight game with injured foot
- Hampton Ergle, OL, Toronto Argonauts: Did not play in 29-16 win over Ottawa
- Parker Moorer, OL, Ottawa Red Blacks: Did not play in 29-16 loss to Toronto
