Former ECU baseball pitcher joins team at Charlotte

Former East Carolina baseball pitcher Jaden Winter announced on social media on Thursday that he will play his final year of eligibility at a rival AAC school.

Winter posted that he was “thankful and excited for his next Chapter” and posted a Charlotte baseball photo. He entered the transfer portal on June 2 and pitched at the Tread Transfer Showcase.

He pitched four seasons for the Pirates, going 4-2 with a 7.71 ERA over 46.2 innings in 38 appearances, six as a starter. He gave up 40 earned runs on 54 hits with 52 strikeouts and 35 walks.

As a senior in 2024, he was 1-0 in five appearances, three of them starts, with a 7.27 ERA. He pitched 8.2 innings, gave up seven runs on 11 hits with six strikeouts and eight walks.
