The ground game offense in the NFL isn’t what it used to be.
Teams don’t just pound it out and then pass anymore. The passing game has become a very crucial part of the offense. It creates a lot more options and brings another level of excitement.
But the ground game certainly hasn’t faded away. In fact, some teams have perfected it and have the weapons to keep it going. That’s the case with the Baltimore Ravens.
Led by Derrick Henry, who had a banner season in 2024, PFF.com has ranked the Ravens as having the top-ranked unit of running backs going into the season. Throw in Justice Hill and a healthy ECU alum in Keaton Mitchell, among others, and you have a team that’s hard to beat when running the ball.
“Baltimore also has Keaton Mitchell, who earned an elite 92.5 PFF rushing grade in limited work in 2023, and Rasheen Ali, who added special-teams value late last season.”
