On3.com reports Garcia will play at Michigan this fall. He announced on April 15 that he was entering the transfer portal and leaving ECU.
Pete Nakos of On3.com reports Garcia has already signed with the Wolverines. The move continues his college career that started at Miami. Garcia transferred to Missouri and then ECU.
He was the starting quarterback for the Pirates when the season started but lost the job after head coach Mike Houston was fired. When Blake Harrell was named interim coach, the decision was later made to make Katin Houser the starting quarterback.
Garcia threw for 1,426 yards and eight touchdowns last season. However, he threw 12 interceptions, which was part of the reason for the switch to Houser, who led the Pirates to a Military Bowl win over N.C. State.
