Listen: Alec Burleson talks baseball super power, his play in May

East Carolina baseball alum and St. Louis Cardinals star Alec Burleson has had a pretty hot May at the plate.

He’s batting .328 going into Wednesday, raising his overall batting average to .287. He’s also had 19 hits, four doubles, seven runs, all four of his homers and 10 RBI. He came into May batting .260.

During May, he’s also had five multi-hit games and has generally done his part to help the St. Louis Cardinals go from three games under .500 (14-17) to 31-24, three games behind the Cubs for first place in the National League Central.

Burleson was on MLBN Radio on Wednesday to talk about his work at the plate, the development of the team’s young players and more.
