Athlon Sports has Blake Harrell where?!? Ranking the AAC football coaches

It’s never too early to talk college football, even if it doesn’t quite fit our expectations.

AthlonSports.com is out with its latest ranking of the top AAC football coaches. Last season, schools like Army, Tulane and UTSA made headlines in the conference with Army beating Tulane in the title game.

AthlonSports.com’s Steven Lassan raves about names such as Tulane’s Jon Sumrall, Army’s Jeff Monken and UTSA’s Jeff Taylor. He even heaps praise for rising stars like Florida Atlantic’s Zach Kittley.

But where does he have East Carolina’s Blake Harrell? Would you believe out of the 14 coaches in the league, Lassan ranks Harrell at No. 12? At least he’s ahead of UAB’s Trent Dilfer.
