It was a quiet Monday night for the East Carolina baseball alumni.
The only player to see action in the majors actually only had one at-bat. Connor Norby did not start in Monday’s 5-2 loss in the series-opening series at the Cubs. He came on as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning and singled with two outs. He went to second base but was left there as the game ended with Norby’s teammate, Derek Hill, striking out.
Norby is batting .257 (19-for-74) with a homer, five RBI, 12 runs and four stolen bases.
See below to find out what the rest of the Pirates in baseball did on Monday. The minor leagues do not play on Mondays.
