Pirates in baseball: Connor Norby gets two hits to lead quiet Sunday for ECU alum

It was a relatively quiet Mother’s Day for East Carolina alumni playing Major League Baseball or in the minors.

Connor Norby had the most productive day at the plate, going 2-for-4 for the Marlins in a 4-2 loss to the White Sox. He was caught stealing second base, the first time that’s happened this season.

He had two stolen bases in Saturday’s game, which the Marlins won, 3-1 He has four stolen bases and is batting .247 for the season.
