Former East Carolina tight end Shane Calhoun has been invited to attend the Indianapolis Colts’ mini-camp.
Calhoun entered the transfer portal as a grad student and played his senior season with Texas A&M. USA Today’s Texas A&M Aggies Wire reported about the invitation. Reporter Jaxson Callaway reports, “The receiving threat who transferred to Texas A&M from ECU ran a 4.48 40-yard dash and put up a 8.54 Relative Athletic Score at his Pro Day.”
At ECU over four seasons, Calhoun had 63 catches for 594 yards and six touchdowns. He had three catches for 57 yards last season for the Aggies.
According to his bio, he “Saw the field on special teams and offense in each game this season, while making starts against South Carolina, New Mexico State and USC … Made his Aggie debut in the season opener against Notre Dame … Caught one pass for 15 yards in the win over McNeese … Made one catch for 6 yards in the win over No. 8 LSU … Registered one catch for 36 yards in the Las Vegas Bowl against USC, his longest of the season.”
