He may have been the last one called to participate, but former East Carolina basketball player RJ Felton is making the most of his opportunity.
RJ Felton is taking full advantage of the opportunity after getting a last-minute invite to Portsmouth.
Scored 22 points in his 1st game and just went 5-8 from 3 with 25 points & 7 rebounds tonight. Playing with lots of confidence & intensity.@felton_j1 @PIT_Basketball pic.twitter.com/q2QrEWyxya

He got the call to play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament and responded with a 22-point effort on 9-of-13 shooting in his team’s 101-94 win.
On Friday, he topped that with 25 points and seven rebounds.
Felton said he was working out at ECU when he got the call. He accepted and quickly made his way there where he was able to showcase his talents.
“I had prayed to the Lord for opportunities like this,” Felton told The Virginian-Pilot after his game. “It all just happened out of the blue. I’m so overwhelmed right now. I’m tired.”
