Former East Carolina University guard R.J. Felton earned Player of the Game honors in one of the all-star games played Wednesday at the 71st Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

The event, held at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va., gives college athletes invited to play the chance to showcase their skills in front of NBA scouts. It runs April 16-19 and is one of the premier events to showcase college talent nationwide.

Felton, playing on the Portsmouth Partnership team, was in the 9 p.m. game and finished with 22 points, connecting on 9-of-13 field goals, including 4-of-6 3-pointers. He also had a rebound, assist and steal. Portsmouth beat the Norfolk Sports Club, 101-94.
