Texans could really use Linval Joseph if he’s available

by | Apr 16, 2025

The NFL offseason hasn’t produced much news on ECU alum Linval Joseph.

He played last season with the Dallas Cowboys, who brought him in because they needed help on the defensive line. He had 19 tackles but provided a measure of help that was good but not great. The Cowboys decided not to sign him in the offseason.

It’s uncertain whether the two-time Pro Bowler will play again or retire. However, the Houston Texans are among the teams that could use his help if he’s available.

FanSided.com listed five free agents the Texans could sign with Joseph being one of them. Justin Carter wrote in part, “But Houston wouldn’t need Joseph to start. The team would just need to employ him as a veteran rotational piece, someone who can give them a big body up front.”
