D1Baseball.com has ECU as No. 3 seed in Conway, S.C., regional

by | Apr 2, 2025

If the baseball gods have anything to say about it, ECU will face a familiar foe in a different environment in the NCAA Tournament.

D1Baseball.com came out with its version of the field of 64 as part of its 2025 D1Baseball Field of 64: Midseason Edition. The website makes its picks for the 16 regionals that would host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

The website currently has ECU as the No. 3 seed in Conway, S.C., home of Coastal Carolina. It has No. 2 Wake Forest against ECU and No. 1 Coastal against No. 4 High Point. So, in this scenario, the Pirates could face Coastal, a team it played earlier this seaon, with a win over Wake Forest, a team ECU faced as a host last season.

Coastal took two of three from the Pirates, the final two after Ethan Norby’s 19-strikeout performance in a Pirates’ win.
