Jeff Hoffman ranked third best closer in AL East

Jeff Hoffman has earned the role of closer for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The East Carolina alum’s Spring Training performances have been solid and he appears ready to take over the role full-time after being a starter and occasional closer, with 12 career saves to his resume.

YardBarker.com is rating the closers in each division and has Hoffman No. 3. They wrote in part, “Now Hoffman is back where his professional career began on the Blue Jays. He was traded before he debuted with Toronto way back when, but his second time around in this organization is going to come with some sky-high expectations.”
