ECU alum and San Francisco Giants left-handed pitcher Carson Whisenhunt has been the topic of several conversations entering Spring Training.
Whisenhunt was on a list of top prospects by AroundTheHorn, a Giants’ news website. He was also mentioned as one of the top questions for San Francisco entering Spring Training. That comes on the heels of him being among 20 non-roster invitees to the Giants’ Spring Training and other prediction stories we’ve published about him.
Now, MLB.com has him listed among the top prospects from each team. The website chose one player from each team they believed would be playing in the majors by the end of the season.
MLB wrote, in part, “He may get more Triple-A time to work on refining his breaking stuff unless an injury opens a spot in San Francisco’s rotation.”
