Harold Varner III finishes tied for 21st at LIV Golf event

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA — ECU alum Harold Varner III had his best showing in the final round of the LIV Golf Riyadh on Saturday.

Varner shot a 4-under-par to finish in a four-way tie for 21st. He finished the three-day tournament with a -8.

Adrian Meronk went wire-to-wire to win the tournament with a two-shot margin at 17-under-par. He was also part of the Legion XIII team that won with a 50-under-par, 11 shots ahead of the Ripper GC and RangeGoats GC.

Despite Varner’s showing, his 4 Aces GC team finished 11th out of 13 teams at -21.
