Whoa, Nelly.
ESPN recently reported that a new assistant football coach, Jason Jones, has been added to ECU football head coach Blake Harrell’s staff. He was slated to take on the role as cornerbacks coach.
Now, Rivals.com’s Alabama site reports the Crimson Tide have an interest in Jones, who played at Alabama, for their open position. Jones had been at UNC for two years before reportedly taking the ECU job.
The report reads in part, “Jones was originally set to take over as East Carolina’s cornerbacks coach after spending the past two seasons overseeing cornerbacks at North Carolina. However, now the Tuscaloosa native is set to make a return home.”
