by | Dec 4, 2024

Two more ECU football players announced on Tuesday their intentions to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Demoris Jenkins and Daylyn Diston posted to social media they would leave ECU and thanked the fans for their support.

Jenkins was a defensive lineman from North Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte. According to his school bio, he had four years of eligibility left. He officially signed with East Carolina on Dec. 21, 2022 and did not see playing time in 2023 or 2024.

Diston was a defensive back from Florida. He earned a varsity letter in 2023 with one stop (assisted) in four games.

Their announcements follow Javious Bond’s announcement Tuesday on social media that he was also entering the transfer portal.
