The New York Post’s Jon Heyman reports the Miami Marlins are inching closer to hiring a manager. ECU baseball Alum Clayton McCullough remains in the mix for the job.
Heyman reports per SI.com, that McCullough has been tied to the job for weeks. His chances improved when Cleveland Guardians bench coach Craig Albernaz dropped out of the running.
McCullough has worked his way through the minors and has been the first base coach for the Dodgers since 2021.
