West Virginia replaces ECU with Virginia on football schedule

West Virginia didn’t wait long to replace ECU on its football schedule.

One day after buying out the contract that required the Mountaineers to play at ECU in 2026, WVU Football added two games in Charlotte against Virginia.

“We have had positive and constructive conversations with our colleagues at East Carolina, and we are committed to helping and working with them to find a replacement for their home game in 2026,” AD Wren Baker said.
