East Carolina’s contest against Rice on Oct. 10 inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium has been selected as the Pirates’ 2026 Homecoming tilt according to a release of football game day designations Tuesday.

The American Conference matchup against the Owls will also serve as Letterwinners Weekend and represent the start of conference play, an eight-game stretch that features four home contests.

East Carolina will kick off the home campaign Sept. 12 when it lines up against Appalachian State to highlight Pirate Club Weekend activities and has also been designated as Paint It Purple.

Family Weekend has been set for Sept. 26 against N.C. Central, while the Pirates’ game against Temple on Oct. 31 has been deemed Fan Appreciation Day. The Friday, Nov. 6 matchup against South Florida will be Military Appreciation Day and Night of the Boneyard and the final home game of the year (Nov. 27 or Nov. 28) against Florida Atlantic has been tabbed as Senior Day.

Game times will be announced later after all television scheduling needs have been determined.
