ECU alum Zach Agnos pitched in his second game for the Albuquerque Isotopes in Thursday’s 5-3 loss to the Salt Lake Bees.
Agnos came in to start the ninth inning with his team down 4-3. He walked the first batter he faced, Bryce Teodosio, before getting a fly out and striking out the third batter. Gustavo Campero then singled in Teodosio to make it 5-3.
Agnos then struck out Scott Kingery to end the top of the ninth. Agnos’ ERA moved to 4.50 with that outing.
Rest of minors start Friday
Major League Baseball’s remaining minor league levels will start play on Friday. That means a number of ECU stars could be in action.
Major League Baseball began the season last week with Triple-A starting shortly after. Double-A and Single-A teams begin weekend series on Friday.
