ECU Alum and relief pitcher Zach Agnos is going places, specifically to Major League Spring Training for the Colorado Rockies.
Agnos received the invite earlier this week, according to MLB.com. If he does well, he could make the team’s 40-man roster when the season starts. He’ll be one of six right-handers on the non-roster invitees.
He spent last season in the Rockies’ minor league system, starting 2024 at High-A Spokane before finishing up with the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats. He has a career 13-6 record with a 1.79 ERA, 44 saves and 132 strikeouts in 105.2 innings.
Agnos was a 10th-round pick by the Rockies from ECU in the 2022 Major League Draft.
