What it’s like watching a St. Louis Blues game with Alec Burleson

by | Mar 28, 2025

We posted a video on Tuesday of Alec Burleson and St. Louis Cardinals teammate Brendan Donovan enjoying a St. Louis Blues game. They were featured on the big screen at the stadium and hammed it up a bit to the fans.

The Athletic was with Burleson and Donovan following them around as they enjoyed the hockey, meeting fans and relaxing some before Thursday’s season opener with the Minnesota Twins.

“Burleson grew up watching a minor-league team close to Charlotte (N.C.) but doesn’t remember its name.

“I live in Greenville (N.C.) now, and we’re probably about an hour from the Carolina Hurricanes, but we’ve never been to a game,” he told The Athletic’s Jeremy Rutherford. “But this is my second Blues game, and it’s always a good time.”
