Watch, Alec Burleson on Cardinals’ young core: ‘They know what it takes’

Alec Burleson has joined the rest of his St. Louis Cardinals teammates at Spring Training in Florida.

He was on 101 ESPN’s “TMA Live” to discuss baseball and the Cardinals. He also discussed the team’s “young core,” which are players even younger than him (he’s just 26).

“It’s a young group but, in the same breath, it’s a young group with the experience,” Burleson said. “You look at a lot of the guys that we’re bringing back, they have a year, maybe year and some change in service time. So they know what it takes and they know what to expect.
