The NFL is a global sport. That’s evident with games played in Europe and now South America.
The UK’s The Touchdown is doing its part to cover the upcoming NFL Draft. One of the players it did an extensive report on was former ECU star Winston Wright Jr.
The Touchdown’s Simon Carroll wrote a lengthy (21-minute read time) piece on Wright, who is expected to be chosen in the NFL draft and is coveted by a number of teams.
Carroll writes in part, “I’ve been playing football since I was seven years old. I come from a close family, and they all really encouraged me to play early; my dad and my stepmom, two sisters and a brother,” Wright said. “I was the oldest, so kind of led the way with sports – I played a lot of sports as a kid! My dad was big on sports and threw me into everything. Basketball was pretty big for me too, but football was always the most important – and it was inevitable that it would take over everything else eventually.”
In the report, Carroll touches on Wright’s talent, high school and college career, what playing in the NFL means to him and much more.
