ECU alumni and Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Wyatt Lunsford-Shenkman pitched for the first time in Spring Training on Sunday.
He was called up to the team to pitch against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He replaced Luis Castillo in the top of the seventh inning and struck out Gino Groover to end the threat with the Mariners leading 9-3.
Seattle went on to win, 11-5.

ECU alum Connor Norby was 1-for-3 in his first Spring Training game for the Marlins in a 1-1 tie.
He doubled in the fourth inning but Miami did not score. The Marlins did score in the eighth to force the tie, leaving ECU alum and Miami Manager Clayton McCullough 1-0-1 so far in Spring Training.

Burleson plays in first game
ECU alum Alec Burleson was 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout in his first Spring Training game for the Cardinals. St. Louis fell to the Astros, 11-6.
