Norby hit a line-drive single in the fifth inning that scored a run, giving Miami a 2-1 lead at the time. He later scored a run, his first of spring, to make it 4-1. It raised his batting average to .182.
It was the third time the Marlins and Cardinals have met in Spring Training, with the Marlins winning 2 of 3 so far (another game on March 11 is scheduled). Norby and fellow ECU alum Alec Burleson of the Cardinals have not played in the same game so far.
