Carson Whisenhunt back in Triple-A
The Carson Whisenhunt experiment is over for now as the San Francisco Giants have reassigned the ECU alumni.
Whisenhunt will likely return to Triple-A after a solid two outings in Spring Training. He threw scoreless ball, giving up a hit with no walks and two strikeouts.
He’ll likely end up back with Sacramento with hopes of being called up to the majors later in the season, according to AroundTheFoghorn.com.
“While Whisenhunt throws from the left side and the Giants have an obvious need for a second left-handed reliever in the bullpen, they would prefer to stretch him out as a starter.”
