Shavon Revel has come a long way from working at Amazon to NFL prospect

by | Apr 3, 2025

Did you know that Shavon Revel Jr. once worked at an Amazon warehouse in Duplin County?

He would scan boxes and load trucks at the same Kernersville, N.C. location where his father worked. It’s a long way from there to playing football at East Carolina University and being an NFL budding star.

ESPN’s Chris Low wrote a remarkable story that tracks Revel’s recent success. It details how he was on the low end of the football spectrum and how he wowed coaches at ECU — which led to a scholarship after playing two years at Louisburg College.

Although Revel tore his left ACL during a game early last season, he’s almost fully recovered and ready to play again. He’s held out of the combines and workouts but has talked with teams who have been as impressed with him without seeing him perform.

“There’s a whole lot more out there that people haven’t seen from me, and they’re going to,” Revel said.
