East Carolina senior guard Jordan Riley has been selected to participate in the 2026 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which will be held April 15-18 at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va.

Every year since 1953, the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (P.I.T.) has invited 64 senior college basketball players from across the nation to compete before professional scouts. Eight teams of eight players play a 12-game tournament over four days, with each player hoping to reach their dreams of becoming a professional basketball player.

Over the years, the P.I.T. has welcomed players that are now household names, like Rick Barry, Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, Dave Cowens, Scottie Pippen, Tim Hardaway, Dennis Rodman, Jimmy Butler and more.

Riley’s selection marks the second straight season that a Pirate has been invited to the tournament with RJ Felton earning an invitation last year.

The Brentwood, N.Y. native had an historic individual season for the Pirates, finishing second in the NCAA in points per game (23.6), setting an American Conference single season record with seven games of 30 or more points and earning national weekly honors three times (2x USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week, Lute Olson National Player of the Week).

Riley became just the fourth player in program history to reach 1,000 points in an ECU jersey in just a two-season span as 1,188 of his 1,725 career points were scored in the Purple and Gold. The American Conference first team selection was only the second player in program history to score 700 or more points in a single season, was the Pirates’ leading scorer in 26 of their 31 games and scored in double figures in the last 40 games of his collegiate career.
