James Larsen, who writes for PFNewsroom.com, broke down the team’s season and what lies ahead. In addition to mentioning things like the team improving to 5-5 but still missing the playoffs, he broke down what some of the bigger names might have to look forward to happening.
Larsen said having weapons like ECU football alum and receiver Isaiah Winstead in the fold made things easier for quarterback Luis Perez. However, Perez was sacked a league-high 23 times in 2025. Could the Renegades go in a different direction there?
Larsen wrote in part, “There is always the option to turn to Holton Ahlers, who has sat behind Perez for the past two seasons. His limited snap count in 2025 didn’t show a ton of promise, but he’s got an accomplished college career at ECU backing him up.”
