Nova Southeastern University hires former ECU women’s basketball coach

Nova Southeastern University has hired former East Carolina University women’s basketball coach Heather Macy to take over the program there.

NSU is a Division II school located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Macy coached at ECU from 2010-2018, making the WNIT three times between 2012-2015. She is the winningest women’s basketball coach at ECU, going 134-117 overall, according to sports.reference.com.

She had been coaching at Barry University before taking the NSU job.

“It’s an honor to be a part of Nova Southeastern Athletics and lead the Sharks Women’s Basketball program,” Macy said in a media release from the school. “NSU Women’s Basketball has a tradition of success, and I look forward to working alongside the many talented coaches and student-athletes.”
