Minges Bottling Group, Mountain Dew to bring Mountain Dude to ENC

by | Sep 8, 2025

Minges Bottling Group and Mountain Dew will be bringing a famous advertising character to Eastern North Carolina.

The Mountain Dude, who is the new spokesperson for Mountain Dew, will be in Greenville for ECU’s football game with Army on Sept. 25. According to a media release from the Minges Bottling Group, “Mountain Dew’s new spokes character, the Mountain Dude, embodies the ‘Do the Dew’ tagline by
encouraging people to live more actively and embrace outdoor adventures. He is depicted as a colorful,
tough-talking mountain man with a 70s-inspired look, including a beard, long hair, a medallion, and a
spectacular neon-green fur coat, who whisks fans away to epic mountain escapes filled with action,
adrenaline, and of course, plenty of Dew.”

The Mountain Dude will be making appearances throughout the ECU campus and around Greenville leading up to the game at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium between Army and ECU, handing out Mountain Dew to some lucky people along the way.

ECU fans and Dew drinkers alike will have the chance to win their own Mountain Dude game day experience. Consumers can enter by scanning a QR code at participating Mountain Dew
displays in their favorite retail locations. They can also scan the QR code in the photo with this story.

Five lucky winners will receive:

  • Their very own neon green Mountain Dude coat
  • Tickets to the ECU vs. Army football game
  • An exclusive on-field meet-and-greet with the Mountain Dude

“We’re excited to bring the Mountain Dude to Greenville,” said Miles Minges, Vice President of Sales
and Marketing for Minges Bottling Group. “The Mountain Dude embodies the idea of connecting with
our consumers by getting outdoors and promoting a fun and active lifestyle! This is a fun way to celebrate our partnership with ECU, reward fans, and create unforgettable game day moments. The Pirates should be fired up for this one!”
