ECU alum Harold Varner III is tied for ninth place, six shots off the lead, after the second round of the LIV Golf Adelaide in Australia.
Varner shot a 1-under-par on Saturday and moved up in the standings, sitting at 3-under-par. Three other players — Carlos Ortiz, Sam Horsfield and Abraham Ancer — moved into a tie for the top spot at 9-under-par.
Varner’s 4Aces GC team isn’t fairing as well, sitting in eighth place at even par. That team consists of Dustin Johnson, Thomas Pieters, Patrick Reed and Varner, who has the highest score of the four.
