The ECU alum and Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher picked up his first win of the season as the Guardians beat the Chicago White Sox, 6-1, on Thursday. Williams went five innings, gave up an earned run on three hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.
The Guardians got two runs in the first inning and two more in the third after the White Sox took a 1-0 lead after the top of the first inning.
Cleveland evened its record at 6-6 with the win.
