Gavin Williams among players who had great Spring Training

by | Mar 24, 2025

Spring Training is wrapping up and preparations are underway for Opening Day.

Many media outlets are posting stories where “winners” and “losers” are chosen based on their performance. One winner the Cleveland Plain Dealer mentioned was ECU alum Gavin Williams.

Williams had 21 strikeouts and a 2.92 ERA over 12.2 innings.

Terry Pluto wrote in part, “Gavin Williams has been the star, a source telling me that the right-hander’s stuff “is like it was in 2023, only better.”

Williams was slated to pitch Monday in a Spring Training game.
