East Carolina University’s Sports Information Department has announced that one of the former members of the school’s basketball team will be taking part in NBA Summer League games.

Former East Carolina guard RJ Felton is set to start his professional career with the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association after signing a deal for the 2025 NBA Summer League.
Felton, who will wear No. 11, joins the Pacers’ 14-man roster for the NBA 2K26 Summer League, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 10-20. The top four teams from games played from July 10-17 will advance to a four-team tournament with the semifinals on July 19 and the finals on July 20. The teams that do not make the tournament will play a final game on July 18, 19 or 20.
The Pacers are scheduled to open their summer league slate against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. ETon NBA TV and ESPN+. All NBA Summer League contests will be aired on either ESPN platforms (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN+) or on NBA TV. Every game will also be available in the ESPN app.
Felton finished his four-year career at East Carolina with his name all over the program’s record book including finishing third in career points (1,774), second in career field goals made (630) and third all-time in three-pointers made (235). In his senior season, Felton averaged 18.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game to help lead the Pirates to their first winning season in over a decade and a program-best 10 wins in the American Athletic Conference.
