Windy conditions cut short the first round of the LIV Golf Andalucia, which was being played at famed Valderrama in Spain.
Conditions were deemed unplayable just after 5 p.m. local time with winds up to 33 mph. The first round will be completed Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. local time (2 a.m. on Saturday here) with the second round following.
Five golfers were tied for the lead at 1-under par: Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, Lee Westwood, Branden Grace and Talor Gooch.
East Carolina golf alum Harold Varner III is tied with eight golfers at +3 after 15 holes. He has to complete No. 2-4.
