ECU’s Winston Wright accepts Hula Bowl invitation

by | Nov 29, 2024

Winston Wright Jr. might not have been able to celebrate a win on Friday against Navy. But he had other reasons to be happy.

The talented senior wide receiver has accepted an invitation to play in the annual Hula Bowl. The organization announced X on Friday.

The game will be played on Jan. 11 at noon at the University of Central Florida’s FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando.

Wright has 54 catches for 556 yards and eight touchdowns this season. That includes nine catches for 64 yards and a touchdown in the loss on Friday to Navy. After being held to four catches for seven yards and a touchdown on Oct. 26 against Temple, Wright has had 21 catches for 212 yards and four touchdowns over three games.
