East Carolina junior outfielder Emma Jackson has been named to Softball America’s Preseason Top 100 Players List as organization unveiled the list on Monday.
Jackson was tabbed at No. 62 on the list after coming off an impressive sophomore season with the Pirates, slashing numbers of .397/.751/.460 at the plate with a team-best 75 hits, 50 RBI and 13 home runs. She hit the second-most doubles in a single season in program history and the second-most in the country with 24 as well as recording three or more hits in nine games.
Jackson’s play helped guide the Pirates to 38 wins, which was the most for the program since the 2011 season and the program’s first winning season since 2020. Her strong season earned her All-AAC Second Team honors and a spot on the NFCA All-Mideast First Team, becoming the first Pirate softball player since Toni Paisley in 2011 to earn a first team all-regional spot.
Jackson and the Pirates get their 2025 season underway on Friday, Feb. 7 at the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, S.C. when they take on Virginia at 5 p.m.
