IRVING, Texas – East Carolina freshman pitcher Kendall Frost has been named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week according to an announcement from the league office on Monday afternoon.

Frost becomes the first Pirate freshman pitcher to earn conference pitcher of the week honors since Toni Paisley was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week in 2007.

In ECU’s five games last weekend, Frost picked up the first three wins of her collegiate career in the circle while recording a 0.86 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 16.2 innings.

Frost was dominant in ECU’s two wins over Boston, who was No. 22 in D1Softball’s poll, holding the Terriers to just one run and 11 hits while tossing 10 strikeouts over those two games and pitching a complete game shutout in the Pirates’ first game against Boston.
