ECU senior defensive tackle Elijah Morris became the third football player to declare for the NFL draft.
Morris made the announcement on social media on Monday. He quoted a verse from the Bible, Isaiah 41:10, in his declaration. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help; you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Morris had 33 tackles, 15 of them solo, in 2024. He also had 6.5 tackles for loss and four sacks. He also had two quarterback hurries.
He finished his five-year career with 119 tackles, 56 solo, and 11.5 sacks.
ECU senior running back Rahjai Harris and senior wide receiver Jahari Patterson have also declared for the draft.
